Yes. The CM1 is designed specifically for the PlayStation VR2 headset and is designed to improve wearing comfort by redistributing pressure across the forehead and rear of the head.
Can the forehead and rear pads be adjusted for different head shapes? +
Yes. The TPU rear forehead pad can rotate to better match different head shapes. Its center-hole design also improves airflow and helps reduce heat and stuffiness during longer VR sessions.

No. The CM1 includes a pry bar and installation guide to help with assembly and disassembly. The original PS VR2 pads can be kept intact and reinstalled if needed.
